wissenschaftl. Name: Andinobates daleswansoni (RUEDA-ALMONACID, RADA, SÁNCHEZPACHECO, VELÁSQUEZLVAREZ & QUEVEDO, 2006)

Etymologie:
Das daleswansoni ist ein sname zu Ehren von Dale Swanson, Spokane, Washington. Wie auch seine Frau Doris Swansons Weltreisender und Naturschützer. Beide bemühten sich um Erhalt und Schutz vieler bedrohter Arten und im besonderen ganzer Ökosysteme, wie zum Beispiel dem Artenhotspot der tropischen Anden.
